Gentlemen and Ladies, Not much to report here other than the bike seems to be still opening up. With the stock set up of 57-5800 rev limit, I have been able to get thru gears 2,3, &4 in less than 4 seconds. I am frequently hitting the limit because of the reduced time to do so. The flexability of the drive train is such that 6th gear is often in before I have realized it. Sometimes I wonder how many owners will ever get to the full potential of what their bike has to offer, that includes the 96's as well!? ........s/f Jack

there you guys go again. Put something in the SPRINGER section and a few BAGGERS show up.
Did the Open House at YORK last weekend. Talked to one of the workers who got off work at 3pm when I walked to the gift shop and asked about the plant closing. Said he doubts that they will close. But as us older people know of past experience, employers try to keep the help happy until they lock the door.
Blew past 6 bikes w/Ohio plates on Rt 30 headed east to YORK 60 miles short, one fine late model black & white softail with a chick owner. At a rest stop in the Battlefields with a CROSSBONES owner I had hooked up with, they past by. The chick couldn't take her eyes off me as she must have expected a much younger rider, nearly dropped my cane, she was hot!
Bought a T-shirt for a friend and rode straight home. Thought my arms were going to fall off due to the bad roads between YORK & GETTYSBURG. Thought of you BAGGERS most of the way, only a 3 1/2 hr trip back...s/f Jack
PS someone should be promoted by now!, where's my cane?
PPS Steve the CROSSBONES owner who rode in from Dayton, Ohio, said his 6th gear was acting like mine did. Worthless less than 65mph, he had 6k on the clock (refer to my 19K post).

Numbers came out yesterday, they get to 159 for Nov first... I am 217. Corporal at officer promotions said SHOULD be 01 Jan for me. Asked the Colonel yesterday if he would do a midnight promo and he agreed.

we should get together before the weather gets to bad this year Lt Col! It's closer than York, expecially if you come north and we split the difference like Frederick Md. What do you think Sean?
