Latest update on the Dreamsickle. I made a batch and combined it with 2 1/2 quarts that I had in the refrigerator. I added a pint and a 1/4 to the combined batch and the taste was spot on. I now have 9 quarts of Heaven in the refrigerator and will be taking a gallon to ES Sunday.

First of all, this thread should be in the good eats board...

Iím sure everyone has a variation of this that theyíve settled on. I donít order margaritas in restaurants because itís just sour mix with a splash of tequila. This makes 1/2 gallon so mix it in a pitcher and refill the bottles. It comes out as a strong sipper in 50 proof category.

Blue margarita

1L white tequila
500ml Blue Curacao
2 lbs limes, juiced
1c agave nectar

Obviously adjust ratios to taste. This isnít too sweet or too tart. The color is as appealing as the flavor.

A suggestion to moderate this thread?  And break our multi year no moderation streak?   Nixweiss   Hysterical Laughing

Good recipe.  I use an orange liqueur like Gran Marnier or Patron Citron, the Curacao sounds good.  Also use agave nectar to sweeten mine to taste.  Yours is a lot higher alcohol than the ones I make.  Have been using Milagro Silver or Costco silver tequila, both have worked well as mix tequila.

That recipe is for a waborita. You can find it somewhere on one of the Cabo wabo pages in a single serving size. Since when I drink tequila I have tendency to forget the definition of single serve, along with the fact that Iím a bass player not a sinner, and joined a band to avoid dancing, I will probably just make the damn bottle size.

Where do I post for this thread? I can't find it either. I don't have a drink recipe. I had a glass of water once. Sometimes I understand dogs.

I looked up Waborita and the itís similarly strong but the only ingredients that are the same are tequila and limes. Iíve used Cointreau and grand marnier interchangeably for years in top shelf margaritas but now Iím forced to live on a much much stricter budget.

The recipe I have for waborita uses blue curacao which is in your original recipe below. Not Cointreau. They may have changed it but I have it save on my phone from a YouTube video that Sammy put out where he made it himself.

Doesnít really matter what they call it. Itís tequila and tequila makes my wifeís clothes fall off.  Hysterical Laughing
