I don't know what took so long but it appears that Dinosaur is finally considering a Buffalo, NY location.  I've been to the Rochester, Syracuse, and Troy, NY locations and must say they are fantastic.  I'm a certified BBQ judge and have judged many BBQ competitions.  I must say that every time I've had Dinosaur ribs they have been consistantly awesome.  I don't know how they do it since in a competition the requirement is to only turn in 6 bites.  A lot of attention is payed to just a couple racks of ribs but Dinosaur cooks truckloads with the same result.  If you ever get a chance, try them out.  They're very biker friendly.

We need a BBQ thread.  Dinosaur BBQ is on my bucket list.

Heard this week that a new favorite BBQ place that went in then out in Georgia is opening up a new store about 2 miles from here.  Not sure why they went out of biz in GA - the BBQ was outstanding.  Family owned by 2 young couples.  Had a heck of a cooker.

Before we sold off our Syracuse office I traveled up two or three times.  Always made it a point to eat Dinosaur BBQ.  Good stuff.

I just went to lunch with some co-workers and discovered that there's a farmers market with home made Amish cooking that opened in an old retail store that went under a few years back.  Believe it or not, I've always loved the Amish BBQ chicken.  The ribs and beef I'm not so fond of, but the chicken is very good.  A nice change up from all the chain restaurants.

Ride Safe,

My buddy from Bellefonte made me hawg maw once. He said it was a pennsylvania dutch delicacy. It was very good comfort food but theres no better smell than walking into a busy BBQ joint. A good steak and crab is a close second though.

Umm.  I've never had the guts to try it.  To me, it's Haggis.  And I may have some Scots in me, but enough for that!

You yankess aren't typically noted for good BBQ. GH took me to Dinosaur's in Syracuse. I was skeptical, but, I'm the first to admit it was awesome good. Better than most local places here.

Tres Hombre, Yum.
Parking sucks in Syracuse.
Have been to Rochester and Syracuse. Always good. They are always at the State Fair in Syracuse. You can smell that cooker all over the fair grounds.

Perfect idea!  Add it to the discussion thread. It's set to open in a couple more months. It's in downtown Buffalo in the theater district.
